Where can I find a nice hot beach!?

can anyone give me any ideas where to go on holiday where there is a nice beach with lush water for snorkeling ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids, quiet and relaxing, nice restaurants but not all the hoo haa of tourist attractions, my ideal place is the maldives but its dead pricey, anyone any good experiences?
