How Can Obama who Voted Against the Iraq Surge in 2006, Take ANY credit for Success in Iraq?

Iraq was won long before he became President and can't take any credit for it's successes. The democrats were on the wrong side of this issue and they know it, history has been recorded along with their votes. Harry Reid said the "war was lost". They crucified General Petraus and now they have him running their show which speaks volumes. Obama can make all the speeches he wants, but when the dust settles, he made the wrong decision years ago, and doesn't have the to admit that.
