My granddaughter had a tube put in her ear 18 months ago and now blood and drainage is it normal?

Not bad just enough to say it's blood and little drainage. I can see something red with the flash light when I look in her ear. Still waiting for Dr. to call. Has anyone had any experience like this? Thanks!!
