How come ford won't bring the falcon back to the US as a replacement for the crown victoria?

i was just reading about the Ford Falcon of Australia it about 422 HP and a nice looking car it would a nice replacement for the Crown Victoria i have a feeling if priced right it would sell well here and they could build a V6 version to if you don't want the V8
