Eigen vector sign reversal?

I am trying to determine eigenvalue and eigen-vector of a matrix using two different algorithm.when i compared the two eigen-vector the value is the same but the sign (+/-) is different.When i tried a different matrix this time the value and the sign is the same,no problem.Is something wrong with my program or can i omit the sign ?
